UX Writing
To improve my UX writing skills, I'm taking part in the Daily UX Writing Challenge. Each day, for 15 days, I will receive a prompt via email that will contain a scenario, a UX writing challenge, and character limits for headlines, buttons, and body copy. I will then need to put myself in my audience's shoes and craft responses that are clear, compassionate, and maybe even entertaining(!).Let's do this thing...
Day 1
Scenario: A traveler is in an airport waiting for the last leg of a flight home when their flight gets abruptly canceled due to bad weather.
Challenge: Write a message from the airline app notifying them of the cancellation and what they need to do next.
Headline: 45 characters max
Body: 175 characters max
Button(s): 25 characters max
Goals:
- Relay the bad news quickly and clearly
- Provide the user with actionable next steps
- Be courteous and empathetic
